This tessellation is micro rhombus star twists. I am fairly certain I’ve seen this executed with bigger measurement rhombuses, however not with ones this measurement. They’re the smallest pure rhombuses of the triangle grid. 

The middle is achieved by collapsing a small hexagon. 

On the opposite aspect there are small hex twists and open again triangle twists. 

Because the shapes are relatively small, it is somewhat bit troublesome to fold.
